SSL is required for a secure connection to a web site such as a bank. There are several things to check if you are a Firefox, Mozilla Suite, or Thunderbird user and you get the error “You cannot connect to website because SSL is disabled” when trying to connect to a web site.
Check your SSL settings in “Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Security” (Firefox) or “Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> SSL” (Mozilla Suite). “Use SSL 2.0″, “Use SSL 3.0″, and “Use TLS 1.0″ should all be checked.

Select “Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Verification -> Do not use OCSP for certificate validation” (Firefox) or “Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Validation -> Do not use OCSP for certificate validation” (Mozilla Suite).

If you’re using a manual proxy, make sure “Use this proxy for all protocols” and“SSL proxy” in “Tools -> Options -> General -> Connection Settings” (Firefox) are set to the correct values.

If you received the message “Could not initialize the browser’s security component.” The most likely cause is problems with files in your browser’s profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you might see incorrect browser behavior when accessing security features….

Check your hard drive’s remaining capacity and the file permissions on the files in your profile folder. Delete the cert8.db file in your profile folder and try again.

Who Will Survive 2012?

The revelation that the world will end in 2012, courtesy the Mayan calendar, created quite a stir. And now Roland Emmerich, the man who created doomsday cult films like Independence Day (1996) and The Day After Tomorrow (2004) brings the prophecy to life in his next disaster thriller 2012. The film by Columbia pictures boasts of an extremely talented ensemble cast including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson.

The movie’s trailer was released in the November 2008 and has been highly successful in stirring up curiosity. It shows a monk running up a rugged pathway to a station perched on a mountain. He strikes a gong signaling danger just as the ocean brims over the Himalayas and begins flooding the world. 2012 was scheduled to be released on July 10, 2009 but has been pushed back to November 13, 2009 to give more time to complete production. Sony Pictures Imageworks was hired to create the highly graphic and realistic visual effects for the film.

Mammootty in Chattambinadu

Mammootty is back with director Shafi (Thommanum Makkalum, Maayavi) for the action entertainer, Chattambinadu.Produced by Mammootty’s banner Playhouse, the film’s shoot has already started in Pollachi. The film will be completed in one schedule and is being planned as Mammootty’s Christmas release.

In Chattambinadu, Mammootty plays the role of a planter Virendra Mallaya, who is also a goonda with 37 criminal cases against him. When he goes to Chembanadu, in Karnataka, to buy a coffee plantation, he finds it overrun with criminals. So he takes it upon himself to clean the place up!

Benny P Nayarambalam has written the screenplay. Mukesh will play an important role, along with three heroines, in the film.

“Mammooka will speak in Malayalam with a heavy Kannada accent and will have a new look in this film,” says Shafi.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that the Shafi- Mammootty team will be able to score a hat trick of hits with Chattambinadu.

Richa Pallod is the heroine. The boy who plays the role of the son is yet to be decided. The shooting will start in Feb 2009.

Mammootty will appear as a cool daddy in the new film directed by debutante Aashiq Abu titled as ‘Daddy Cool’. The movie tells the story of father and his only son, who loves the game of cricket more than anything.

Mammootty’s character in the movie has the name Antony Simon, who is by profession an officer in the crime branch. Also in the cast of this movie are Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani.

The makers of the movie have started their search for a fresh face to appear as the child artist in the film.

‘Daddy Cool’ produced by Alwin Antony has also in its crew, Big B fame Samir Taahir as the cinematographer. Anil Panachooran, Biji Bal team will handle the music section of the movie, which will start canning by the end of this December.

Mammootty’s New Film Mayabazaar

The shooting for the latest Mammootty’s movie ‘Mayabazaar’ got completed at Kochi.

Expected to get its post production complete in another two weeks, ‘Maya Bazaar’ will grace the theatres for this Ramzan on the first of October.

The movie which is humorous action thriller is directed by debutante Thomas Sebastian. Scripted by T A Razaaq in the basic story by Govind Ramadas, the movie will also show case the dancing abilities of Mammootty in two songs set to music by Rahul Raj.

Debutante Thomas Sebastian directing a film with Mammootty in the for lead has named it ‘Mayabazaar’. Thomas who plans to present the star in a novel theme is also introducing another scriptwriter Govind Vijayan, through this film. The film produced by Sachi s. Mangalam in the banner of Aakhil Films. The shoot for this film will start by the end of next March. Thomas Sebastian has been a long time associate of directors like Sibi Malayail, Blessy and Sundardas.

Mammootty’s Ramzan movie ‘Mayabazar’ will grace the theaters by the first day of October. The movie from debutant Thomas Sebastian will open in 80 centers all across theater on the same day.

The movie will clash with another big budget war movie from Mohanlal’s ‘Kurukshetra’ which may get into theatres a couple of days before Ramzan.

‘Mayabazar’ will have a lively Mammootty dancing to two fast songs of the movie. The music is by Rahul Raj while T A Rasaaq pens the dialogues. Tamil actress Sheela debuts to Malayalam, with this movie while Kalabhavan Mani appears in a negative role opposite Mammootty.
